I want to start of by saying I am very proud of both of our teams! Our D team has grown as individuals and as a team as the year progresses. I look for wonderful things to come out of a great bunch of guys. We are starting to hit the ball very well. I am looking forward to them playing in the July 4th tournament and the Commisioners Cup!They practice hard and it is showing.
Our A team did well Sunday winning 2 of 3 games and gaining sole possesion of first place for now with 3 games to go.We started off against the sluggers and didnt hit the ball like we can squeezing out a 6-5 win. The next game we played the Atlanta Venom which we have never lost to. Our hitting woes continued only scoring 4 runs and giving up 10. So congratulations to them on a very well played Sunday. The third game we hit better scoring 16 runs beating the Sluggers 16-12. Our hitting was down on Sunday but we still went 2-1 which is great. Our hitting will come around. It was just an off day. Its softball, everyone has one.

I have played in this league since 1994. My first series was in Nashville,TN. I have met alot of wonderful people playing in NAGAAA and HSL. Some which are still my friends and some which are not . After coaching the past 2 years I have realized that I didnt have as many true friends as I thought I had and how the game of softball can cause many friendships to end. A true friend says what they think their friend needs to hear even when they know that their friend may get angry. A true friend doesn't leave because they are afraid to be with you. A true friend doesn't leave when the fun stops and things get uncomfortable In short, A true friend recognizes the value of the friendship and what it holds. So always remember a true friend will stand beside you through thick or thin. Value the ones that do.iAlways support our own Community.

I am looking forward to a fun filled weekend this July 4th. Our D team is playing in the second tournament of the season. Good Luck Mudcats!!! I had to make a decision to pull our A team out of the tournament on Monday. It was a tuff decision but we were missing players and some players had things come up that didnt allow them to make it but I look at it this way......... friends, other halfs and health of my teammates mean more to me than softball. I had to make the decision and for those who dont understand that and want to talk bad about me and ignore me then I dont need to be talking to you anyways. Lets go have some fun this weekend. Beer, friends and softball. What a great weekend!!

We have come to the final weekend of the season for our A team. As a team we have done well. If we win 2 out of three games tommorow we will win 1st place for the second season in a row in our league. As a team it has been a GREAT SEASON so far. As far as the league, its got a long way to go to become enjoyable! No more said on that. Our D team plays its final 2 games tommorow then on to the Commissioners Cup the next weekend for their chance to make it to the World Series. I know our guys can do it!!! Until next time............

Congrats to our D team for getting to go the Series!!! Our A team endded in a 2 way tie for the league. Good luck to the Sluggers,Avengers (a,c and d),Venom,Sharks, Mudcats A and D at the series this year. These teams will do good for Atlanta. Alot of our players are playing in a wednesday night league together to prepare themselves for the series which I think is great! Only 24 days left until the Series. Really looking forward to it with the team we are taking this year. It was a very long HSL season and I think the league should end a month before the deadline for the series rosters are due. It puts alot of teams and players in a bind pushing to try and get rooms and time off work when the league ends within a week of the deadline. I hope everyone gets things worked out so they can go. Hopefully we can work on this stuff during the off season. Let's not forget about our friend Joe that left us last year!!!! I always think about him everytime I walk out onto the field....Miss you Joe!!!!! Until next time..........................

Well the 2009 Season has come to a close. It was a fun year. We came up short at the series but it was a great series and city. Really enjoyed it. I am very proud how far our D team came this year. They played very well at the series!!! Way to go guys!! I want to take a moment to say we lost another great person in our softball family last month. Clint Price. I did not know Clint personally but from what I have read and the pictures I have seen he was always smiling. Please be kind to people and enjoy the time you have with them. Life is short! More to come for the upcoming 2010 season.... until then..........
